2. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany, on our behalf under a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. All data is processed in Germany.

When you visit the website, the server automatically records the following information in log files:

• IP address of the requesting device
• date and time of the request
• page or file requested
• referrer URL (the page you came from)
• browser type and version, operating system

This data is required to deliver the website and to ensure its security and stability. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in operating a secure and functioning website. The log files are deleted as soon as they are no longer needed for these purposes.

3. No cookies, no tracking

This website does not use cookies, analytics or tracking tools. Fonts and images are served from our own server; no data is transferred to third-party providers such as Google when the page loads.

4. Contact by email

If you contact us by email, we process your email address and the content of your message in order to answer your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to a contract or pre-contractual steps, and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR otherwise. We delete the data once your enquiry has been dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

5. Event registration and external links

Registration for our events takes place on separate event pages (for example events.ma-observatory.org), which are provided via the ticketing service ticketareo. Each registration page contains its own privacy information. Further details can be found in the privacy policy of M&A Media Services GmbH.

This website contains links to external websites, such as the University of Bristol. No data is transferred to these sites until you click a link. The privacy policy of the respective provider applies there.
